Seek first the Kingdom of Heaven… and ALL these things will be added to you!

Seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness!

Matthew 6:25-34 (New Living Translation)

25That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? 27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

28 “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, 29 yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God[a] above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”

Jesus also instructs us in John 14 to NOT allow our hearts to be troubled, “Let Not,” as the KJV says; all of which implies it is our decision whether to trust in faith, or not; and these are instructions given to us by our Lord, and it is not a suggestion.

He goes on to tell us that He is going before us in order to prepare an abode for us, specific with each one of us in mind; and along with that He gave us the promise of coming back to receive us unto Himself, and there to live with Him forever.

Now the Bible is very interesting because whereas Jesus put the above text in the future tense, as something that is yet to happen in the future; the Bible also says that we NOW are in heavenly places with Jesus too… so how is that possible?

How can we be here on earth, and at the same time, simultaneously be with Jesus in eternity?

What I believe this verse is teaching us is that our spirit man, being of the same substance and nature of God, who is Himself a Spirit; and with that part of us having been given to us by God, and is that which is created in His image and after His likeness; I believe it is our spirit man, that is existent outside of our time and space continuum; and is therefore also eternal. We know after all there is no distance in the spirit.

It is also our spirit man that only comes alive, at our re-birth, at which time I believe we then have the potential for unending communion with God; and our being with Him ALL the time, regardless of where we are, or what we are doing in the natural.

But the question still arises, back here on earth, because all of that is very well and fine; but how does any of this information help me where I am today?

How am I able to tap into this supernatural dimension; and how can I receive God’s help and guidance, which I do desperately need today?

Also, how do we get to the place where my life is being government not by what I see or feel; but by faith, in what is not yet visible to the natural eye, nor felt in the natural?

Also the question arises as to how do we deal with our current earthly challenges in the mean time, that are most definitely real and in the natural?

For the answer to all of these questions we need to consult the Operation’s Manual (the Holy Bible); and there are any number of instructions that we will find there.

But all of them have to do with our appropriating what we need here in this life, in our time, by faith! Selah

Shalom,
