The healing power in our listening to other people’s testimonies…
And the first testimony we need to listen to is the testimony of Jesus “The Living Word,” found in God’s Word…
97-104 Oh, how I love all you’ve revealed;
I reverently ponder it all the day long.
Your commands give me an edge on my enemies;
they never become obsolete.
I’ve even become smarter than my teachers
since I’ve pondered and absorbed your counsel (testimonies).
I’ve become wiser than the wise old sages
simply by doing what you tell me.
I watch my step, avoiding the ditches and ruts of evil
so I can spend all my time keeping your Word.
I never make detours from the route you laid out;
you gave me such good directions.
Your words are so choice, so tasty;
I prefer them to the best home cooking.
With your instruction, I understand life;
that’s why I hate false propaganda.
Testimonies of the Acts of God are boosters of our faith in God.
When the Acts of God or what God does for one person are shared in the form of testimony, people’s faith in God comes alive, because you begin to realize that what God has done for others He will certainly do for you! Especially since the promises of His Word, which He promises will NOT RETURN TO HIM VOID say so!
Testimonies are a great tool of encouragement:
The Apostle Paul enjoined Christians to comfort each other with the comfort each have received from the Lord (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
God has purpose behind everything He does; He is not a haphazard God.
He will work miracles, heal and deliver one just to serve as an encouragement for another.
A common feature of the early church was informality and their unstructured way of holding services.
This was majorly so because of the high premium placed on encouraging each other (1 Corinthians 14:26).
We are prone to believe real life stories more than Bible stories.
Bible stories usually look far fetched, but life testimonies bring the power and faithfulness of God closer home.
Testimonies also defeat the enemy’s plans and purposes:
“And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” (Rev 12:11)
Because testimonies are public acknowledgement and proclamation of God’s goodness, it brings God fully into the picture to rout out His enemies.
Satan, the accuser of the brethren, cannot stand nor handle a Christian who goes about proclaiming His goodness.
Testimonies also foretell the future:
Revelation 19, verse 10b states, “… For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
By considering what God has done in the past, one can accurately predict what He will do in the future (prophecy).
David, the shepherd boy in the valley of Elah, testified to King Saul how God used him to kill a lion and a bear while trying to rescue his sheep from them.
He was so sure that God was going to use him to kill Goliath the giant (1 Samuel 17:34-37).
He was able to predict accurately the outcome of the fight between Goliath and himself.
God has a track record that what He has done before He will do again.
One of the reasons for why there are less supernatural acts in today’s church is that we don’t place enough premium on what God has done in the past.
The Bible clearly says that God is the same yesterday, today and forever… He hasn’t changed, we have!
We don’t stimulate ourselves enough along the path of recalling past events that will activate raw faith in other believers.

I have to ask you to please pray for me also, because I think I have contracted some kind of disease myself…
This is crazy, I know, but I haven’t been eating right, sleeping right or doing anything right, since the first day I met you.
You are the first person I think about, next to Jesus, every time I wake up – I pray for you all throughout the day – and you are also the last person I think about, next to Jesus, before I go to sleep.
I know a little about God’s Word and about prayer; and I believe in the POWER of both to affect God’s will in our lives! So that’s what I do, as I’m always trying to encourage you to press in and contend for your healing! I admit my motives are selfish because I couldn’t bear it if anything ever happened to you!
Literally every time I hear from you, whether it’s a phone call or text, you just make my whole day!
Just so you know, I’ve been in love with you since the first day I met you; and I asked God one day why did He have us meet, knowing I would fall in love with you, if there wasn’t to be a future between us?
And I asked Him last month, if He had some purpose and wanted us to be together, then have you contact me.
It was either that very same day or the very next day that you called me and asked me to call Tim.
What am I going to do with you Jeanette, you should just shoot me and put me out of my misery. 😇
You are absolutely the most beautiful, special and wonderful woman I know!
And I always will love you ♥️
