Jeanette, I recommend that you make it a habit to say this prayer every single morning over yourself and your family…

Psalms 91
The safety of abiding in the Presence of God…

Quote
“A sovereign Protector I have, Unseen, yet forever at hand, Unchangeably faithful to save, Almighty to rule and command.” — Augustus M. Toplady
(4 November 1740 – 11 August 1778)

Read Psalms 91

In Psalms 91 the psalmist affirms the absolute security of ALL who put their trust in God.

Verses 5-7 says:

5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence (disease and infirmity) that stalks in darkness,
nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

91:5-6. Such safeguarding brings a settled peace.

The psalmist will not fear the terror of night when he would be most vulnerable to an enemy’s surprise attack.

Nor will he dread the arrow that flies by day aimed for his destruction and death.

Neither will he fear the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, the attacks begun even in the night.

Nor will he be terrified of the plague, picturing everything that threatens him.

The reason he will not fear is because God is his sure protection.

So overwhelming is God’s intervention, A thousand may fall at your side in battle, even ten thousand who would seek to harm you.

But, in sharp contrast, it will not come near you.

God is far greater than any human, and thus, any harm that could come near to man.

In the presence of such danger, you will only observe with your eyes this onslaught, not as a victim, but as an untouched victor.

The Greek word for salvation is sozo, this word includes divine protection (It also includes health, forgiveness of sins, and wholeness).

You can believe Ps 91 for yourself when sickness or danger tries to come near you or your family!

You access this the same way you access salvation, by faith! Amen

SELAH (let us pause and calmly think about these things)

Always thinking of you and always praying for you.
