When was Jesus really born?

On that day the Magi, the Wise Men from the East came bearing gifts!

Even though the Biblical record doesn’t give us the date when Jesus was born, we can however with a little biblical and historical detective work determine, within the very narrow prophetic window given in Scripture, not only the time of year, or season as it were of His birth (as it relates to the Jewish Festivals); but also we can narrow it down pretty close to the month anyway, when He was born, as we know from Scripture that Yeshua (Jesus) was exactly six months younger than His cousin, John the Baptist.

So if we can first determine when John the Baptist was born, then we can from that information deduce the approximate time of Yeshua Ha’Mashiach’s birth.

Now I also want to say here, that even though we can know that Messiah Jesus’ birth most certainly did NOT happen on the date that is traditionally recognized, which is on December 25^th, that fact should not in any way detract the Christian world from celebrating His birth in this time, as any day and everyday is appropriate for us to give honor and to celebrate the reason for His coming.

Which meaning is found in the message of the Gospel, in that for this reason Christ did come, to redeem all of mankind, of all those of Adam’s seed, who both acknowledge and receive through faith God’s forgiveness for their sins, and redemption offered through Yeshua (Jesus–Saviour), and be reconciled back into God’s family.

His coming then fulfilles another prophecy, which was given by the prophet Isaiah.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isa 9:6)

What’s more, the prophet Daniel (in Daniel 9:24-27) gives us the exact date when the Messiah would be revealed to the world, in what amounts to a mathematical prophecy that caused the “Wise Men” from the East (from the area around Babylon), who had been taught the prophecies of Daniel, to come looking for the newly born King, the Jewish Messiah; as they came bearing Him gifts; and by the way, this prophecy also gives us the exact numbers the days from the time the degree was given to rebuild Jerusalem and the Temple (after the 70 years of Babylon captivity), until the Messiah would be revealed to the world and then subsequently cut off (meaning killed) for the sins of the people.

After which Daniel’s prophecy goes on to say that the Jewish Temple (which was Harrod’s Temple) would be destroyed a second time (which happened in 70 AD); the first time it was destroyed happened to Solomon’s Temple, when it was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar; after he had carried the children of Israel off into captivity, that again (as Jeremiah prophesied) was to last a period of 70 years.

So anyway, in our quest to determine when Yeshua was born, as is appropriate with all things regarding the truth on this subject, regarding the Messiah, we must begin in the Tanakh (the Jewish Old Testament), and then as we look to the New Testament, we can clearly see how these over 300 prophecies were and are today being fulfilled in the life of Jesus.

The first mention or promise of a coming Messiah, that is found in the Bible, is in Genesis 3:15, when God talks about how the Seed of the Woman would crush the Serpent’s head (who is Lucifer—the Devil).

This is interesting to note because women don’t have seeds, they have eggs. The seed is the sperm, and it comes from the male; which at the very outset identifies a supernatural occurrence, in that the Tanakh says that Messiah would be born of a virgin:

Isaiah 7:14

¹⁴ Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel (meaning God with us).

This is but another fulfillment of the over 300 prophecies, that are given in the Bible, that identify who the Messiah would be, and how He was to be recognized, when He came.

Well, let’s get back to my original subject… when was Jesus born?

To determine when that happened, or at least to determine the season of the year it was prophesied to happen, we must look at the seven Jewish Festivals.

Messiah is the center figure in each of these seven feasts (or festivals); and the way in which Messiah Jesus fulfilled the Jewish feasts is a fascinating study.

In the Hebrew Scriptures, the Jewish prophet Amos records that God declared He would do nothing without first revealing it to His servants, the Prophets (Amos 3:7).

From the Old Covenant to the New (Genesis to Revelation), God provides picture after picture of His entire plan for mankind and one of the most startling prophetic pictures is outlined for us in the Jewish Feasts of Leviticus 23.

The Hebrew word for feasts (moadim) literally means “appointed times.”

God has carefully planned and orchestrated the timing and sequence of each of these seven feasts to reveal to us a special story.

The seven annual feasts of Israel were spread over seven months of the Jewish calendar, at set times appointed by God.

They are still celebrated by the Orthodox Jews today; but for both Jews and non-Jews who have placed their faith in Jesus, the Jewish Messiah, and have been Born-again, these special days demonstrate the work of redemption through God’s Son.

The first four of the seven feasts occured during the springtime (Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, and Weeks) and they ALL have already been fulfilled by Christ in the New Testament.

The final three holidays (Trumpets, The Day of Atonement, and Tabernacles) occur during the fall, all within a short fifteen-day period.

It is also believed that Jesus’ first coming, the time of His birth, happened during the Feast of Trumpets, which occurs typically in September, which would make sense, since that would have been the logical time to do a census, to have the people travel to their traditional ancestral city, to be counted and pay their taxes; and it would not make sense to have them do this in the dead of Winter, which would be when December 25^th happened; but rather they would do it at the end of the harvest, when the people still would have money to spend, in order to pay their taxes.

Also there is the scripture that the Apostle Paul makes mention of that speaks of the “Last Trumpet,” that would be blown just before the catching away of the church (also known as the Rapture), that is to happen just before Messiah Jesus would return to earth a second time in order to set up His Millennium Kingdom:

Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.

~1Corinthians 15:51-52

This time is also called Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year), and there is a ram’s horn (a shofar) that is blown a total of 100 times during this time.

Also, you will note that this Shofar is also called a trumpet; in fact, Jews commonly called this event the “Feast of the Trumpets” for that reason.

And so during this feast (as mentioned before) there is a series of trumpet blasts, from the shofar, and there is what is called “The Last Trumpet blast,” which is believed to be what the Apostle Paul is referencing in the above scripture verse.

As each of the four spring feasts were fulfilled literally and right on the actual feast day in connection with Christ’s first coming; likewise, these three fall feasts, it is believed, will be fulfilled literally in connection to the Lord’s second coming.

In a nutshell, here is the prophetic significance of each of the seven Levitical feasts of Israel:

1) Passover (Leviticus 23:5) – Pointed to the Messiah as our Passover lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7) whose blood would be shed for our sins. Jesus was crucified on the day of preparation for the Passover at the same hour that the lambs were being slaughtered for the Passover meal that evening.

2) Unleavened Bread (Leviticus 23:6) – Pointed to the Messiah’s sinless life (as leaven is a picture of sin in the Bible), making Him the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Jesus’ body was in the grave during the first days of this feast, like a kernel of wheat planted and waiting to burst forth as the bread of life.

3) First Fruits (Leviticus 23:10) – Pointed to the Messiah’s resurrection as the first fruits of the righteous. Jesus was resurrected on this very day, which is one of the reasons that Paul refers to him in I Corinthians 15:20 as the “first fruits from the dead.”

4) Weeks or Pentecost (Leviticus 23:16) – Occurred fifty days after the beginning of the Feast of Unleavened Bread and pointed to the great harvest of souls and the gift of the Holy Spirit for both Jew and Gentile, who would be brought into the kingdom of God during the Church Age (see Acts 2). The Church was actually established on this day when God poured out His Holy Spirit and 3,000 Jews responded to Peter’s great sermon and his first proclamation of the Gospel.

5) Trumpets (Leviticus 23:24) – The first of the fall feasts. Many believe this day points to the first coming of Jesus; and also the Rapture of the Church when the Messiah Jesus will appear in the heavens as He comes for His bride, the Church. The Rapture is always associated in Scripture with the blowing of a loud trumpet (I Thessalonians 4:13-18 and I Corinthians 15:52).

6) Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:27) – Many believe this prophetically points to the day of the Second Coming of Jesus when He will return to earth. That will be the Day of Atonement for the Jewish remnant when they “look upon Him whom they have pierced,” repent of their sins, and receive Him as their Messiah (Zechariah 12:10 and Romans 11:1-6, 25-36).

7) Tabernacles or Booths (Leviticus 23:34) – Many scholars believe that this feast day points to the Lord’s promise that He will once again “tabernacle” with His people when He returns to reign over all the world (Micah 4:1-7).

On the question as to whether Christians should celebrate these Levitical feast days today? I believe that to be a matter of conscience for the individual Christian; however it is my opinion that it is much more appropriate to do that, rather than celebrate the pagan substitution for these Holy Days; but I won’t be dogmatic on that point.

In fact Colossians 2:16-17 tells us “Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.”

Whereas Christians are not bound under Old Testament law to observe the Jewish feasts, in the way it is prescribed in the Old Testament, we should not criticize those who do; and neither should we criticize those who don’t (see Romans 14:5).

I also enjoy this time of year; but I do believe it is important for us to know and to teach the truth, so as to eliminate confusion on this subject.

The point is, while it is not required for Christians to celebrate the Jewish feast days, it is beneficial to study them; and certainly it could be beneficial to celebrate these days if it leads one to a greater understanding and appreciation for Christ’s death and resurrection and the future promise of His coming.

As Christians, if we choose to celebrate these special days, we should put Christ in the center of our celebration, as the One who came to fulfill the prophetic significance of each of them.

Back to my original subject, as I mentioned before, in order for us to answer the question, as to when Christ was born, we must first determine when John the Baptist was born?

On What Day Was Jesus Born?

While much of the world celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ on the 25th of December, can the actual day of Jesus’ birth be determined from scripture? This question will be explored in some detail, and will yield a result that is quite intriguing. The first passage we will consider begins with the father of John the Baptist, Zacharias:

Luke 1:5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.

Luke 1:8 And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest’s office before God in the order of his course, …

Luke 1:23 And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.
Luke 1:24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, …

The clue given to us here is that Zacharias was of the “course” of Abia.

The 24 Courses of the Temple Priesthood.

7. But David, being desirous of ordaining his son king of all the people, called together their rulers to Jerusalem, with the priests and the Levites; and having first numbered the Levites, he found them to be thirty-eight thousand, from thirty years old to fifty; out of which he appointed twenty-three thousand to take care of the building of the temple, and out of the same, six thousand to be judges of the people and scribes, four thousand for porters to the house of God, and as many for singers, to sing to the instruments which David had prepared, as we have said already. He divided them also into courses: and when he had separated the priests from them, he found of these priests twenty-four courses, sixteen of the house of Eleazar, and eight of that of Ithamar; and he ordained that one course should minister to God eight days, from sabbath to sabbath. And thus were the courses distributed by lot, in the presence of David, and Zadok and Abiathar the high priests, and of all the rulers; and that course which came up first was written down as the first, and accordingly the second, and so on to the twenty-fourth; and this partition hath remained to this day. — Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews, Book 7, Chapter 14, Paragraph 7.

King David on God’s instructions (1 Chr 28:11-13) had divided the sons of Aaron into 24 groups (1 Chr 24:1-4), to setup a schedule by which the Temple of the Lord could be staffed with priests all year round in an orderly manner. After the 24 groups of priests were established, lots were drawn to determine the sequence in which each group would serve in the Temple. (1 Chr 24: 7-19). That sequence is as follows:

1 Chr 24:19 These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of the LORD, according to their manner, under Aaron their father, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded him.

Now each one of the 24 “courses” of priests would begin and end their service in the Temple on the Sabbath, a tour of duty being for one week (2 Chr 23:8, 1 Chr 9:25). On three occasions during the year, all the men of Israel were required to travel to Jerusalem for festivals of the Lord, so on those occasions all the priests would be needed in the Temple to accommodate the crowds. Those three festivals were Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, and Tabernacles (Deut 16:16).

The Yearly Cycle of Service in the Temple.

The Jewish calendar begins in the spring, during the month of Nisan, so the first “course” of priests, would be that of the family of Jehoiarib, who would serve for one week, Sabbath to Sabbath. The second week would then be the responsibility of the family of Jedaiah. The third week would be the feast of Unleavened Bread, and all priests would be present for service. Then the schedule would resume with the third course of priests, the family of Harim. By this plan, when the 24th course was completed, the general cycle of courses would repeat. This schedule would cover 51 weeks or 357 days, enough for the lunar Jewish calendar (about 354 days). So, in a period of a year, each group of priests would serve in the Temple twice on their scheduled course, in addition to the 3 major festivals, for a total of about five weeks of duty.

The Conception of John the Baptist.

Now back to Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist.

Luke 1:23 And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.
Luke 1:24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, …

Beginning with the first month, Nisan, in the spring (March-April), the schedule of the priest’s courses would result with Zacharias serving during the 10th week of the year. This is because he was a member of the course of Abia (Abijah), the 8th course, and both the Feast of Unleavened Bread (15-21 Nisan) and Pentecost (6 Sivan) would have occurred before his scheduled duty. This places Zacharias’ administration in the Temple as beginning on the second Sabbath of the third month, Sivan (May-June).

Having completed his Temple service on the third Sabbath of Sivan, Zacharias returned home and soon conceived his son John. So John the Baptist was probably conceived shortly after the third Sabbath of the month of Sivan.

The Conception of Jesus Christ.

Now the reason that the information about John is important, is because according to Luke, Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit in the sixth month of Elisabeth’s pregnancy:

Luke 1:24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,
Luke 1:25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.
Luke 1:26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
Luke 1:27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.

Note that verse 26 above refers to the sixth month of Elisabeth’s pregnancy, not Elul, the sixth month of the Hebrew calendar, and this is made plain by the context of verse 24 and again in verse 36:

Luke 1:36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

Mary stayed with Elizabeth for the last 3 months of her pregnancy, until the time that John was born.

Luke 1:56 And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.
Luke 1:57 Now Elisabeth’s full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.

Now working from the information about John’s conception late in the third month, Sivan, and advancing six months, we arrive late in the 9th month of Kislev (Nov-Dec) for the time frame for the conception of Jesus. It is notable here that the first day of the Jewish festival of Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, is celebrated on the 25th day of Kislev, and Jesus is called the light of the world (John 8:12, 9:5, 12:46). This does not appear to be a mere coincidence. In the book of John, Hanukkah is called the feast of dedication (John 10:22). Hanukkah is an eight day festival of rejoicing, celebrating deliverance from enemies by the relighting of the menorah in the rededicated Temple, which according to the story, stayed lit miraculously for eight days on only one day’s supply of oil.

The Birth of John the Baptist.

Based on a conception shortly after the third Sabbath of the month of Sivan, projecting forward an average term of about 10 lunar months (40 weeks), we arrive in the month of Nisan. It would appear that John the Baptist may have been born in the middle of the month, which would coincide with Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. It is interesting to note, that even today, it is customary for the Jews to set out a special goblet of wine during the Passover Seder meal, in anticipation of the arrival of Elijah that week, which is based on the prophecy of Malachi:

Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

Jesus identified John as the “Elijah” that the Jews had expected:

Mat 17:10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
Mat 17:11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
Mat 17:12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
Mat 17:13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

The angel that appeared to Zacharias in the temple also indicated that John would be the expected “Elias”:

Luke 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

So then, the Feast of Unleavened Bread begins on the 15th day of the 1st month, Nisan, and this is a likely date for the birth of John the Baptist, the expected “Elijah”.

The Birth of Jesus Christ.

Since Jesus was conceived six months after John the Baptist, and we have established a likely date for John’s birth, we need only move six months farther down the Jewish calendar to arrive at a likely date for the birth of Jesus. From the 15th day of the 1st month, Nisan, we go to the 15th day of the 7th month, Tishri. And what do we find on that date? It is the festival of Tabernacles! The 15th day of Tishri begins the third and last festival of the year to which all the men of Israel were to gather in Jerusalem for Temple services. (Lev 23:34)

Immanuel.

Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Immanuel means “God with us”. The Son of God had come to dwell with, or tabernacle on earth with His people.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot), occurs five days after the Day of Atonement, and is a festival of rejoicing and celebration of deliverance from slavery in Egypt (Leviticus 23:42-43).

Luke 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Luke 2:8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
Luke 2:9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
Luke 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Why was there no room at the inn? Bethlehem is only about 5 miles from Jerusalem, and all the men of Israel had come to attend the festival of Tabernacles as required by the law of Moses. Every room for miles around Jerusalem would have been already taken by pilgrims, so all that Mary and Joseph could find for shelter was a stable. During Tabernacles, everyone was to live in temporary booths (Sukkot), as a memorial to Israel’s pilgrimage out of Egypt – Lev. 23:42-43. The birth of the Savior, in what amounted to a temporary dwelling rather than a house, signaled the coming deliverance of God’s people from slavery to sin, and their departing for the promised land, which is symbolized by Tabernacles.

Also of note is the fact that the Feast of Tabernacles is an eight day feast (Lev 23:36, 39). Why eight days? It may be because an infant was dedicated to God by performing circumcision on the eighth day after birth:

Luke 2:21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

So the infant Jesus would have been circumcised on the eighth and last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, a Sabbath day. The Jews today consider this a separate festival from Tabernacles, and they call it Shemini Atzeret.

Conclusion

So, if you have followed the above reasoning, based on the scriptural evidence, a case can apparently be made that Jesus Christ was born on the 15th day of the month of Tishri, on the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles, which corresponds to the September – October timeframe of our present calendar!

Tabernacles Future Fulfillment

It is also interesting to note that Tabernacles was a feast of ingathering of the Harvest (Exo 23:16 and 34:22). If Jesus’ first coming was indeed on 15 Tishri, the first day of Tabernacles, then it is quite reasonable to presume that the harvest of this earth, the ingathering of the second coming of Jesus Christ, will also occur on precisely the same date. The unknown factor would be the year that this would happen.

Countdown to Armageddon

A look at Bible prophecy in view of the unfolding events in today’s news, as we see the lineup of nations forming for the Last Days Gog Magog War of Ezekiel 38 and 39, against Israel.

(Note: the Gog Magog War is viewed by many Bible scholars as separate from the Battle of Armageddon, as the Bible says the Battle of Armageddon will include ALL the nations of the world, and the Ezekiel 38 War will involve only five nations; however nevertheless it is very interesting to note as we view today’s news, how this lineup of nations is forming for this Gog Magog War.)

Ezekiel 38 – The Gog Magog War

These are the nations that are listed in Ezekiel 38:5-6:
“Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.”

As we identify these other nations that will join with Russia, we discover that all of them are Islamic nations:

Persia – Today this is the nation known as Iran.

Ethiopia – Do not confuse this with modern day Ethiopia. The Ethiopia described by Ezekiel was located directly south of Egypt and would correspond to the modern country of Sudan.

Libya = It is remarkable that the ancient country of Libya corresponds to the modern country of Libya. We would think the country would change names after more than 2500 years, but it has not.

Gomer and Togarmah = These ancient names found their location in what today is the country of Turkey.

Thus, the four countries which will align themselves with Russia to invade Israel are these:

Iran
Sudan
Libya
Turkey

The Bible is truly an integrated message system; and though it contains 66 books that have been penned by 40 authors, over a period spanning over thousands of years, nevertheless the Bible as a whole bears strong irrefutable evidence of supernatural engineering and origin in every detail; and most importantly it contains a common message throughout that centers around the coming Jewish Messiah.

As just one evidence of this fact, I’d like to draw your attention to a Gospel message that is hidden in the first ten names listed in the first genealogy list (from Adam to Noah) that is given in the Bible, and can be found in Genesis chapter 5.

If you take the Hebrew meaning of each name that is given, and then line it up in the sequential order of their birth, as listed in the Bible, this is what you get:

Then as you lineup the meaning of each name side by side, this is the sentence that is formed:

“Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest.”

There are many such proofs that the Bible is of extra terrestrial origin; however there are some today who would argue that the Bible is just another book.

However one way to know for sure that the Bible is truly the inerrant Word of God is the fact that it is the ONLY book ever written that accurately gives the future as history.

As another example there are some 300 prophecies that are given in the Bible, regarding the coming Jewish Messiah.

What are the mathematical odds that any one person would fulfill even eight of these?

To answer the question what is the probability of one man fulfilling all eight prophecies, the principal of probability is applied.

Therefore, multiplying all eight probabilities together (1 times 2.8 x 10⁵ x 10³ x 10² x 10³ x 10³ x 10⁵ x 10³ x 10⁴) gives us 2.8 x 10²⁸, or for simplicity sake 1 x 10²⁸ or 1 in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.

Given this and the time span between the writings of the Old Testament and the fulfillment by Christ in the New Testament, the prophecies were either given to the prophets by God, or the prophets just wrote them down as they thought they should be.

With Christ fulfilling all eight prophecies, what are the odds the prophets were just guessing?

God has made it crystal clear how we can recognize who the Messiah would be; and you have to bend over backwards to ignore this evidence.

The fact is there is ONLY one person who stands on the stage of history who meets ALL of these requirements, and His name is Yeshua Ha’Mashiach (Jesus Christ).

And for anyone willing to do their homework and check out these facts, they will find that this is true; and not only that but the Bible has also consistently been used over the years as the most reliable reference source in discerning the chronological events of biblical history; and also in locating archeological sites, that are mentioned in the Bible.

It is very interesting to note today how the events we are seeing in the news are lining up with what the Bible says will happen.

Syria Told Iran: ‘We’re Too Weak’ to Help You Fight Israel

(Israelnationalnews.com) Tehran asked Syria one year ago to say that it would join Iran and its proxy militia, Hizbullah, in case of a war with Israel, but Syria refused. According to JTA, this information is included in a US diplomatic cable made public by Wikileaks.

The cable from the US embassy in Syria is dated Dec. 22, 2009, and is one of thousands published by WikiLeaks in recent weeks. It relates to a visit to Syria by four high-level Iranian officials and the signing of a defense memorandum of understanding between the two countries.

“Syria reportedly resisted Iranian entreaties to commit to joining Iran if fighting broke out between Iran and Israel or Hizbullah and Israel,” said the cable, which was signed by Chuck Hunter, the charge d’affaires at the U.S. embassy in Syria.

The cable quoted a source whose identity has been redacted:

“XXXXXXXXXXXX said Iranian officials were in Syria ‘to round up allies’ in anticipation of an Israeli military strike. ‘It (an Israeli strike on Iran) is not a matter of if, but when,’ XXXXXXXXXXXX said, reporting what Syrian officials had heard from their Iranian counterparts. The Syrian response was to tell the Iranians not to look to Syria, Hezbollah or Hamas to ‘fight this battle.’ ‘We told them Iran is strong enough on its own to develop a nuclear program and to fight Israel,’ he said, adding, ‘we’re too weak.’ The Iranians know Syria has condemned Israeli threats and would denounce Israeli military operations against Iran. ‘But they were displeased with [Syrian leader Bashar] Assad’s response. They needed to hear the truth,’ XXXXXXXXXXXX said.”

JTA said that while the Iranian visit to Syria was touted at the time as a signal of Syrian support for Iran in its showdown with the West, the cable “notes signs and reports that the Syrians were not eager to receive their guests.”

The Syrian government timed visits from French and Turkish dignitaries to coincide with the period of the Iranians’ visit. The presidential spokeswoman discussed the other visits in a press conference but “barely touched on the Iranians.”

An important part of our having a successful transition from this failing corrupt and bankrupt U.S. CORPORATION, and our successfully reinhabiting and restoring our Constitutional Republic, it will be necessary for the American people to be educated as to the real history behind how, starting with the forty-first Congress (in 1871), our de jure Constitutional Republic was changed; and was done so without public consent or knowledge, and without any constitutional authority to do so, into The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA CORPORATION!

It is my hope that those of you who read my blog, who are not yet convinced of this history, that you will investigate for yourselves, and do your own dudeligence to find out whether what I am saying here is true or not.

There are some very dishonest and corrupt people, some of them Presidents and Congressmen (both past and present) who have a very different agenda and future planned for our nation, than what “We the People” and our U.S. Constitution would allow.

It is for that reason that “We the People” need to take back our government, because left to their own devices and if they are allowed to continue unhindered with their evil ongoing agenda to dominate the world’s governments and monetary systems, at least as it pertains to our involvement (here in the our country), and if we capitulate and allow them to continue, then our lives and that of our children, and all future generations, will be forever changed… and we cannot afford to let that happen!

Make no mistake, but that these people are the true power brokers and behind the scenes puppet masters of our Washington DC political scene and power structure today.

This group of men, though small in number, are a part of the Rothchild’s International Banking Cartel, and they have single handedly corrupted most of the world’s governments, including our own, simply by using their influence and wealth to corrupt those within those various governments who were willing to be bought by them, and again this includes many of our past and present presidents and congressmen and women.

These people are also responsible for the corruption behind the economic problems, in the 2008 melt down; and also they are responsible for the on going dire state of our economy and the devaluation of our U.S. Dollar; not to mention they have also undermined our political system, our U.S. Constitution, and have over the years (little by little), been responsible for eroding away many of our Constitutional rights and liberties; and folks this has been going on now for over 139 years.

Don’t you think it is about time we put a stop to this… and if we don’t, who else will?

These men also own and control the Federal Reserve Bank, which in fact is a privately held corporation that is wholly own and controlled by these same international bankers (and mind you 7 out of 10 of these same bankers, who sit on the board of the FED, are not even U.S. Citizens).

Need I tell you that NONE of this is constitutional; and yet these men, these international bankers, were given permission to operate legally in our country, control our central bank and all our internal monetary policies, pursuant to the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, which gives them total autonomy to operate without any accountability or oversight whatsoever from any elected official, including the President of the United States; and to make matters even worse, these same bankers over the years have gain influence in virtually every part of our society.

As a case in point, at the behest and under the leadership of J.P. Morgan, who founded an organization, in 1921, called The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), whose purpose it is to promote what these Globalist International Bankers have defined as a “New World Order,” an ideal by the way that is not at all new, but was actually tried once before in late 1700’s, at the time our Republic was being formed; and our founding fathers were then able to stop that effort; but today they are still trying.

Well anyway, one of the first acts of the Council on Foreign Relations, under J.P. Morgan’s leadership, was to purchase the controlling interest of between 20 and 25% of the largest media outlets in the U.S. (first print and also subsequently broadcast) in order to control the news, and to sway public opinion in their favor.

If you have always wondered why the news in America is so biased and is swayed in one direction, mostly to the Left, well this is the reason why.

All of it is by design, because as long as you have the Left fighting against the Right, and even the Right by the way is manipulated and is tolerated to a certain extent, and is controlled by these bankers, for the reason that as long as the public are fighting over partisan matters, between Liberal and Conservative, no one is paying attention to what these bankers are doing, behind the scenes; and by having plants and operatives (who are bought and paid for by these bankers) in both parties, they are then able to continue their agenda to subvert our U.S. Constitution, and implement their “New World Order,” regardless of which political party happens to be in control.

The REAL meaning of Christmas…

FOR UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN…

unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder:

and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty

God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

(Please note: this is an important enough subject that God did not leave it open to subjective means of interpretation, but he left us a concrete road map, in the form of biblical prophecy, in order that we not miss Him; and mind you there is ONLY one person on the stage of history, who meets ALL of these prophetic requirements.)

(Who were the Magi, the Wise Men from the East? They were students of the Prophet Daniel, and his prophecy regarding the coming Messiah)

The true meaning of Christmas involves the reconciliation between God and His much loved, howbeit estranged children, of all those who would by faith in God’s covenant, receive forgiveness for their sins, through the sacrifice and propitious work of God’s only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, when He offered up His life and died in our place, as our Passover Lamb, as a covering for our sins.

No longer is there a need for us to sacrifice animals, as was required under the old covenant (which only provided a temporary covering and had to be repeated every year); but now after having had our sins laid on Him, we are now free to live for Him and also to serve Him forever… which is in fact the whole meaning of life… to serve and to worship God!

^1-2 There was a man of the Pharisee sect, Nicodemus, a prominent leader among the Jews. Late one night he visited Jesus and said, “Rabbi, we all know you’re a teacher straight from God. No one could do all the God-pointing, God-revealing acts you do if God weren’t in on it.”

³Jesus said, “You’re absolutely right. Take it from me: Unless a person is born from above, it’s not possible to see what I’m pointing to—to God’s kingdom.”

⁴“How can anyone,” said Nicodemus, “be born who has already been born and grown up? You can’t re-enter your mother’s womb and be born again. What are you saying with this ‘born-from-above’ talk?”

⁹Nicodemus asked, “What do you mean by this? How does this happen?”

^10-12Jesus said, “You’re a respected teacher of Israel and you don’t know these basics? Listen carefully. I’m speaking sober truth to you. I speak only of what I know by experience; I give witness only to what I have seen with my own eyes. There is nothing secondhand here, no hearsay. Yet instead of facing the evidence and accepting it, you procrastinate with questions. If I tell you things that are plain as the hand before your face and you don’t believe me, what use is there in telling you of things you can’t see, the things of God?

^13-15“No one has ever gone up into the presence of God except the One who came down from that Presence, the Son of Man. In the same way that Moses lifted the serpent in the desert so people could have something to see and then believe, it is necessary for the Son of Man to be lifted up—and everyone who looks up to him, trusting and expectant, will gain a real life, eternal life.

^16-18“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.

They went for the darkness because they were not really interested in pleasing God. Everyone who makes a practice of doing evil, addicted to denial and illusion, hates God-light and won’t come near it, fearing a painful exposure. But anyone working and living in truth and reality welcomes God-light so the work can be seen for the God-work it is.”

For all of you who read my blog, it is my prayer and hope for each of you this season, that on the day which we have set aside to celebrate the birth of our Messiah, who is also Saviour of the world, that it would mark a new beginning for each of you; that as we close out the year 2010, and as we begin anew the year 2011 that this new year will bring not only new beginnings, but also along with it that it would included a brighter, a blessed, and a more prosperous future, as we all start this new year with our priorities in order; and that means that God would once again rein supreme in the hearts and lives of His people, of each and every one of us, who have made Yeshua Ha’Mashiach (His name in Hebrew, meaning: Saviour, the Messiah) numero uno; and that He would rule in each of our lives; and direct each of us with His wisdom and light, by and through the precious Holy Spirit, who indwells the hearts of each one of us who has been born-again… as explained in the above verses of Scripture, by Yeshua to Nicodemus!

Make no mistake, but that this is the TRUE meaning of Christmas, that this message be announced to the world!

It is very important for each of us, whether or not we accept this message of the Gospel, and whether we conform and pattern our lives to follow Yeshua, as His disciples; because, as per the words of Yeshua, there is no other way unto the Father, and no one (and the Bible makes it very clear that NO ONE) can come to the Father, or even see the Kingdom of Heaven, unless, as Yeshua (Jesus–Saviour) says, we are born-again; and come by way of His Sacrifice and death on Calvary’s cross!

We mustn’t allow our intellect and pride get in the way, and we mustn’t get puffed up to the point we think that we because of our education and intellect are some how exempt from these requirements, because we aren’t!

Jesus made it very clear that unless we become as little children, in our childlike faith and trust, which we all had at one time, and unless we surrender our pride and humble ourselves before God, that we shall not ever experience the Kingdom of Heaven

And so for the benefit of all you intellectuals out there, you must understand that these are God’s requirements for reconciliation, because we ourselves could never make the cut or meet His requirements by ourselves (apart from our faith in Jesus); and that’s because ONLY Jesus lived a righteous life, that was without sin, and only He paid the price and met the requirements of the Father, with His own life; and thus it is of utmost importance that we each comply, and it’s not so important that we agree or even understand; but sufficient is it to know that there is NO other name under heaven whereby we may be saved… except through the name of Jesus!

After all, God is God, and He created us… and we did not create ourselves… and so with that said, please listen up and obey! Selah

It is also my prayer for those of you who have yet to make that decision, to accept Yeshua as your personal Lord and Saviour, and thereby recognize Him also as your Messiah, that you, this year during this season, that you along with us, would know the REAL meaning of Christmas.

I pray also that ALL of us who are His offspring, who are made in His image and after His likeness, that through the Holy Spirit (who has been given to each one who is born-again), that we each would come to know Him (Jesus) better (and also our Heavenly Father through Him, as was the plan); and that we each would become one with this ONE who gave us our life, who created us; and then paid the price to redeem us, by offering up His life on the cross of Calvary, in order to make us one with Him, and give us each the privilege of spending eternity with Him!

And with that, I want to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous and Happy New Year!

The American people are finally getting fed up with our government’s graft and corruption…

Hopefully this is all changing today, as the word is finally getting out, with no thanks to the U.S. media; but rather it is getting out by word of mouth and through the internet.

FINALLY I think the American people are becoming aware of ALL the lies and corruption that has exists behind our two-party political system for all these years; and the fact is, until we deal with that problem FIRST, and redo our foundation, anything less than that is just to continue down the same path, and it will be business as usual… and we cannot afford that any longer!

As I have said countless times before, partisan politics aside, both political parties (at least from their leadership down), including both Democrats and Republicans, they are complicit and are working hand in hand with these Globalist Bankers, at their direction, in order to establish a “New World Order,” which will mean the end of America as we know it; the end of our U.S. Constitution; and the end of all our freedoms!

This is no joke folks; and we all need to do our own dudeligence and homework in order to know the truth, in what’s really going on, before we can affect the proper changes.

Just because these Banksters have controlled the media (including both press and electronic); and just because they have used their immense power and wealth to corrupt our two-party system, that is no excuse for the American people to remain ignorant, for there are other sources of information. All you have to do is open your eyes, and look around you.

That is especially true for all of you who are Believers, who know your Bible prophecy; because truly we are living in the last days; and as I speak (or rather as I write) this world is today being set up (in part by this current Democratic Administration, and also we were being set up by former Republican administration before it) for the Antichrist kingdom!

This has happened before, folks, just look at what happened in pre-Nazi Germany, in the 20’s and 30’s after World War I.

Hopefully the light is finally coming on, here in America, so that we don’t repeat their mistakes!

In pre-Nazi Germany in the time right after WW I, after a short period of prosperity, and then having suffered from extreme hyper inflation and the continued devaluation of the German Mark, as a fiat currency, they eventually defaulted; just as is happening today with the U.S. FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE!

All of this is the result of the policies of these same international “Banksters,” who are today in control not only of our central bank and all of our internal monetary policies, but also that of the entire world.

These are the real criminals who are responsible for the economic meltdown in 2008; who also having ripped the American public off with that shell game of derivatives, who then had our politicians (these corporate officers) pass the BILLIONS of dollars in Bail Out and Stimulus money, which is today largely unaccounted for; and our elected politicians never even read the legislation before they voted on it; but rather just rubber stamped it as they were requested to do by George W. Bush!!!

I mean, come on folks, are we really that stupid and gullible; and do we really think that just because our media is silent and is not telling us the truth about what’s really going on, that all is well?

Politicians lie, and they are lying through their teeth when they are telling us that things are getting better!

Folks, our country is being sold up the river by these same people in Washington DC, who are suppose to represent our interest, but have elected to sell our country out in favor of the Bankster’s agenda. After all, why else would they blindly sign into law all these Billions of dollars Bail Out and Stimulus Legislation?

My point is, nothing is going to change by our merely changing over to a Republican Congress, or by our electing a Republican Administration in 2012, that is nevertheless still operating under Admiralty Law (not Common Law); and is operating as a CORPORATION, and not as a REPUBLIC!!!

If you doubt the truth of what I’m telling you, regarding the complicity of both political parties in this Globalist Agenda, then just look at the membership of those who belong to the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and the Trilateral Commission. Both are a “Who’s Who” list of the leadership of both Republican and Democratic parties, and large Corporate interests.

These secret organizations and others like them, have all been set up by the International Bankers, in order to implement their Agenda for a “New World Order,” and a one world monetary system, all of which you can read about in chapter 13, in the Book of Revelation.

Folks, our merely passing a Constitutional Amendment won’t fix our problems, unless we also get rid of this already Bankrupt de facto U.S. CORPORATION, that is causing all the problems, which was formed by the Act of 1871, and was passed in order to make the American people the collateral for the national debt.

As I have already pointed out, all of this was and is UNCONSTITUTIONAL and therefore it is illegal… meaning they had no legal right to do this, and they did it without the knowledge or consent of the American people! In short they lied, and have been lying to us ever since!

Today this same de facto UNITED STATES CORPORATION, which is already bankrupt (and has been since before 1871), despite the media silence on the subject, it is already on the verge of defaulting.

There have been reports in Hawaii and other places where people are not getting their Social Security checks, or they are only receiving partial payment and a IOU from our government.

The plan will be to implement Martial Law once U.S. CORP defaults; and the banks will be forced to closed (probably as a forced “Bank Holiday” as happened during the Great Depression).

When this happens, these FEDERAL RESERVE NOTES will be worthless, and already they are nothing but a fiat monetary system, because there is NOTHING backing them up; and as such they are not even worth the paper they are printed on.

And so the plan is, as I have said, once U.S. CORP defaults and we will not be able to buy and sell any longer, just as happened in pre-Nazi Germany, the government will seize control; and once the American people are faced with all these problems, then the plan is that these foreign Banksters, through Obama or whomever is in the White House when this happens, will declare martial Law and take over country, through UN Forces.

This is what will happen unless “We the People“ act now, and go further than what is suggested below; we have to FIRST get rid of the de facto (meaning illegal) US CORPORATION, and we have to reinhabit our Constitutional Republic, which is already underway.

The American people just need to know the truth, and quit drinking the Kool-Aid!

Before that can happen though, they need to be told the truth; and then join forces with every other American citizen who wants to once and for all do away with political corruption, and see our country run as our founding fathers always intended for it to be run, as a Constitutional Republic.

An idea whose time has come!

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of ongress.

Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws.

The latest was to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform … in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t seem logical. We do not have an-elite that is above the law.

I truly don’t care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.

A Constitutional Convention – this is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come. And, with the advent of modern communication, the process can be moved along with incredible speed.

There is talk out there that the “government” doesn’t care what the people think. That is irrelevant. It is incumbent on the population to address elected officials to the wrongs afflicted against the populace…you and me. Think about this…

The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971…before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc.

Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land…all because of public pressure.

I’m asking each addressee to forward this Email to a minimum of twenty people on their Address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise.

In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.

Obama To Honor Hanoi Jane…

I received this email today (see below) from a friend and brother, a former Marine Master Sergeant (Ret’d), regarding the honoring of Jane Fonda by Obama, and I was asked to pass it along, which I am doing; however I wanted to share my personal opinion and response with all of you.

First of all I want to say that Gene is a brother in the Lord, whom I have known for some years; and I both respect and love as such (as a brother), and also I consider him a friend.

I certainly understand the anger and frustration, especially of those in the military, at the idea of our government honoring a person who has betrayed their country; but I think it is very dangerous for us, as Christians, to say that someone cannot be forgiven, regardless of what they have done!

If our Lord could allow His creation, including you and me, to nail Him to a cross, and then say, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do?” then who are we to harbor unforgiveness against anyone, or say they cannot be forgiven?

Besides, I think we ALL need to look at the bigger picture here, and understand what’s really going on today in our country, and what the real agenda is.

I’m not surprised; and I admit it is wrong to honor someone for betraying his or her country, but that is the way of Washington DC for quite some time, I’m sad to say.

Obama himself would be a traitor, if he were a U.S. citizen, which he isn’t!

But there are others before him, who have sat in the White House and also who have sat in Congress in the past, and today, who are!

Obama is in fact a foreign agent, who is doing all he can to unravel and to destroy our country from within!

As far as unforgiveness goes… nobody, no matter what they have done, in my book anyway, is ever worth that; because the Bible is very clear on this subject, that unless we can forgive and release others (the word “Forgiveness” means to release), then we can’t be forgiven ourselves!

Besides, if a person has truly been born-again, meaning they have repented (which literally means that they have changed the way they think) and have renounced their former life, as all of us who have been born-again have done, then they are a new creation in Christ!

That’s what my Bible says anyway.

God doesn’t close the door for anyone to be reconciled and forgiven as long as they are still alive.

The Bible says for us to pray for our enemies; and it even says for us to love them, which when we understand Agape (Love), by reading 1st Corinthians 13, we understand that this is not at all an emotional response, but it is a decision totally.

However, it doesn’t mean that we have to like them, or want to hang with them… until such time as they have repented and have renounced their former life, including all its former sins, as every Christian must do.

The truth is, for all of us who are born-again, that we must learn to repent, and continue to do that again and again, everyday; because, as Christians we are in no way perfect, we are only forgiven; and NOT because of anything we have done, but only by the grace (unmerited) favor and love of God; howbeit as Christians we nevertheless still mess up every day, and so 1^st John 1:9 is a Scripture I have had to commit to memory.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.“

As I’ve said, as Christians, we are not at all perfect, and thus we are not without sin, but thanks to Calvary’s cross and the sacrifice on that cross of Jesus for our sins, we are ALL forgiven… once we repent and are born-again!

Is that not the Gospel’s message, as we read it in the Bible?

In fact the Bible lets us know in no uncertain terms that ALL of us are guilty; that we ALL have missed the mark (have sinned), and therefore have failed God’s requirements for entry into heaven!

We also know from the Bible that ONLY God has the power to recycle human lives, as He has been doing ever since the fall in the Garden of Eden, with our original parents (Adam and Eve).

The truth is it is only God’s love and His unmerited favor for us that has allowed any of this to happen; and the fact that He (God) took on Himself the penalty for our sins, in Yeshua (Jesus–Saviour); and without Him, and without our being born-again and our acceptance by faith of His propitious work on Calvary’s cross, we are ALL lost and up the creek without a paddle!

If a person, any person, does do that however, and if he or she demonstrates the fruit of having done so, then who are we to say they are not forgiven, because of anything they have done in their past life, regardless of what it may be?

Listen to what Jesus has to say on this:

John 3:13-21

¹³ No one has ever gone to heaven and returned. But the Son of Man^[a] has come down from heaven. ¹⁴ And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, ¹⁵ so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.^[b]

¹⁶ “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. ¹⁷ God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

¹⁸ “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. ¹⁹ And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. ²⁰ All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. ²¹ But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.^[c]”

The Bible is very clear that the reason people will be barred from heaven and will be forced to endure eternal separation from God will not be because they have sinned, because we ALL have sinned (which means we have missed the mark); but the reason people will not be accepted into heaven is because they have rejected God’s only avenue for reconciliation, which is our acceptance and faith in Yeshua Ha’Mashiach (Jesus, the Christ—Messiah), our Passover Lamb!

I don’t know Jane Fonda, and I certainly don’t like what I read that she did; but betrayal does not end there.

Just look at the betrayal of our politicians today in DC!!!

As I have been trying to point out, our leadership in Washington DC for the last 139 years, to the extent they have not told the American people the truth, and have supported this de facto UNITED STATES CORPORATION, in favor of the Globalist Bankster’s New World Order, all of them, who have been bought and paid for, who have supported this agenda, are equally guilty of betraying our country and our Constitution, which they ALL swore an oath to preserve, protect and defend; and I mean by that President George W. The first part of this is from an F-4E pilot. The pilot’s name is Jerry Driscoll, a River

In 1968, the former Commandant of the USAF Survival School was a POW in Ho Lo Prison the ‘ Hanoi Hilton.’

Dragged from a stinking cesspit of a cell, cleaned, fed, and dressed in clean PJ’s, he was ordered to describe for a visiting American ‘Peace Activist’ the ‘lenient and humane treatment’ he’d received.

He spat at Ms. Fonda, was clubbed, and was dragged away. During the subsequent beating, he fell forward

on to the camp Commandant ‘s feet, which sent that officer berserk.

In 1978, the Air Force Colonel still suffered from double vision (which permanently ended his flying career) from the Commandant’s frenzied application of a wooden baton.

From 1963-65, Col. Larry Carrigan was in the 47FW/DO (F-4E’s). He spent 6 years in the ‘Hanoi Hilton’,,, the first three

They, however, had time and devised a plan to get word to the world that they were alive and still survived. Each man secreted a tiny piece of paper, with his Social Security Number on it , in the palm of his hand.

When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a cameraman, she walked the line, shaking each man’s hand and asking little encouraging snippets like: ‘Aren’t you sorry you bombed babies?’ and ‘Are you grateful for the humane treatment from your benevolent captors?’ Believing this HAD to be an act, they each palmed her their sliver of paper.

She took them all without missing a beat.. At the end of the line and once the camera stopped rolling, to the shocked disbelief of the POWs, she turned to the officer in charge and handed him all the little pieces of paper..

Three men died from the subsequent beatings. Colonel Carrigan was almost number four but he survived, which is the only reason we know of her actions that day.

I was a civilian economic development advisor in Vietnam , and was captured by the North Vietnamese communists in South Vietnam in 1968, and held prisoner for over 5 years.

I spent 27 months in solitary confinement; one year in a cage in Cambodia ; and one year in a ‘black box’ in Hanoi My North Vietnamese captors deliberately poisoned and murdered a female missionary, a nurse in a leprosarium in Ban me Thuot , South Vietnam , whom I buried in the jungle near the Cambodian border. At one time, I weighed only about 90 lbs. (My normal weight is 170 lbs)

We were Jane Fonda’s ‘war criminals….’

When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi , I was asked by the camp communist political officer if I would be willing to meet with her..

I said yes, for I wanted to tell her about the real treatment we POWs received… and how different it was from the treatment purported by the North Vietnamese, and parroted by her as ‘humane and lenient.’

Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky floor on my knees, with my arms outstretched with a large steel weights placed on my hands, and beaten with a bamboo cane.

I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda soon after I was released. I asked her if she would be willing to debate me on TV. She never did answer me.

These first-hand experiences do not exemplify someone who should be honored as part of ‘100 Years of Great Women.’ Lest we forget….’ 100 Years of Great Women’ should never include a traitor whose hands are covered with the blood of so many patriots.

A look at our Navy Seal Training, as it relates to the training God puts us through…

No pain, No Strain… and No Gain!!!

A look at our Navy Seal Training Program, as an interesting perspective into the extensive and very hard training required by our military, in this very dangerous world of today, verses the preparation which God puts His covenant children through, in order to train us for spiritual warfare for His service, and for life!

Let us start by taking our lesson today from the pages of our operations manual for life, the Holy Bible:

1 Corinthians 10 (Message Bible)

^1-5Remember our history, friends, and be warned. All our ancestors were led by the providential Cloud and taken miraculously through the Sea. They went through the waters, in a baptism like ours, as Moses led them from enslaving death to salvation life. They all ate and drank identical food and drink, meals provided daily by God. They drank from the Rock, God’s fountain for them that stayed with them wherever they were. And the Rock was Christ. But just experiencing God’s wonder and grace didn’t seem to mean much—most of them were defeated by temptation during the hard times in the desert, and God was not pleased.

^6-10The same thing could happen to us. We must be on guard so that we never get caught up in wanting our own way as they did. And we must not turn our religion into a circus as they did—”First the people partied, then they threw a dance.” We must not be sexually promiscuous—they paid for that, remember, with 23,000 deaths in one day! We must never try to get Christ to serve us instead of us serving him; they tried it, and God launched an epidemic of poisonous snakes. We must be careful not to stir up discontent; discontent destroyed them.

We had a men’s retreat once at my church that I used to attend, CMC in Laguna Niquel, that I shall never forget.

As it happened our Pastor’s son-in-law was and still is a Navy Seal; and the subject of the retreat was to compare the very severe testing that is necessary in order to qualify as a Navy Seal; and what we, as members of God’s army, go through in our training in order to be trained for His service.

There are many scriptures in the Bible that I can think of that address this topic, but one of my favorites is the following:

“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” —1st Peter 1:6-7

As it happens for many of us, and as also it happened for Job as well (whose story we can read about in the Bible), there are many things in life that appear the exact opposite of what most people think or expect.

Actually I think for many of us, if truly we had understood ahead of time how hard this Christian life would be, prior to signing up, there would have been many of us who possibly would have had second thoughts.

I can remember hearing once a comment that Corrie Ten Boom made, who was a Dutch lady and servant of Christ, who together with her family had been involved with the Dutch Underground Movement, that was smuggling Jewish families out of Holland during the second World War, in order to escape the Nazi Concentration camps.

As it happened she lost her entire family inside a Nazi Concentration camp, and her life was spared only through a clerical error, that had her released prior to everyone else in her unit being murdered; and all this was owed to her family having been betrayed by a fellow countryman who was also a Nazi collaborator.

I also remember the story of another woman, a missionary bride by the name of Darlene Rose, an American lady who was going to Indonesia to join her new husband, who had gone on ahead of her, just as the war broke out.

Her husband was murdered, and she spent the duration of the war as a Japanese prisoner of war, inside of Indonesia; and both of these very brave women, after having experienced the worse of the worse, in all kinds of abuse and cruelty, in something that can only be described as hell on earth, in spite of all this, each of them had the same comment, when they said: “I wouldn’t have traded this experience for anything in the world, and even though I wouldn’t want to do it again, I have gained through these experiences knowledge about the faithfulness and love of God that I could not have learned any other way“… and therein is my point!

There is also a rhyme and reason for our hardships and stresses too, and for information on why, all we need do is look to the Bible.

I truly believe that our strongest asset in America today, and also our strongest hope for tomorrow, as a nation, is first owed to our long established Judaic/Christian heritage and history, together with our once strong and established faith in God; all of which is a legacy that was left to us by our founding fathers, howbeit today it has gotten rather tarnished and weak.

In addition, I also believe our next strongest asset, in our country, can be found in the brave men and women in uniform, who are serving in our nation’s armed forces, without whose sacrifice, both today and in the past, our nation wouldn’t even exist!!!

With that said, I believe truly it is ultimately our faith in God, first of all and foremost, among those who still believe, and also our prayers, that represents our nation’s strongest defense today against the tyranny and subversive agenda that would seek to undermine and subvert our liberty as a nation; much of which, I’m sad to say, comes from within our own government, in the halls of congress and in the White House!

It is too bad that the same loyalty that is common place in our nation’s military is not also mirrored among our nation’s leadership, among those who have been elected to preserve, protect and defend our freedom and our nation’s constitution; but who have instead betrayed both… and I’m talking here about presidents and congressmen, made up of both Republicans and Democrats.

It is these compromised, bought and paid for individuals, who are traitors to both our Constitution and our country, who are today our weakest link; whose agenda it is to subvert our way of life and our Constitutional form of government, that was designed by our founding fathers to operate as a Republic, into what they have called a “New World Order,” which is the name these same Globalist Banksters have given to the system they are trying to erect, that will ultimately be the Antichrist kingdom that is talked about and described in the Book of Revelation.

So consequently, God is about raising up His army today, in order to counter the traitors among those who have sold our country out; and who knows, maybe some of them will even get saved and join us… I hope so!

In any case we need to understand that whatever you may be facing today, if you are a covenant child of God, it is to make you strong and prepare you for battle.

If you are not yet a covenant child of God, then possibly your problems are to bring you to your place of need, as a way to introduce you to your Creator, who loves you and died for you.

Either way, the message is the same, God loves ALL of humanity, and His offer of reconciliation applies to all equally, regardless of where you are, or what you have done.

As long as you are not yet pushing up daisies, then the Bible says that you still qualify to receive God’s offer of forgiveness and reconciliation; but once you have passed on from this life it is too late!

What a strange concept… to think that the very frustrations, sorrows and tribulations which we face on a daily basis are worth more than billions of dollars in the eyes of God.

People often think the opposite is truth.

Whereas most believers sulk in their problems — wondering “why” God won’t answer their prayers — and again, the answer is found in 1st Peter 1:7.

God’s desire and intent for our struggles is in order to test our faith; and though we may not like it, it is certainly Biblical.

Hebrews 11:6 states: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Faith pleases God, and without faith we are destitute.

The trial of our faith pleases God, because it makes our faith stronger if we hang in there, and we don’t quit.

There are many believers who think God is ignoring them, or has abandoned them, when bad things happen in their life.

Again, God says in 1st Peter 1:7 that the “trial of your faith “is” much more precious than gold that perishes.”

Just ask the average Christian today whether they would prefer a pile of gold, or trials and tribulations?

Who wouldn’t take the gold… myself included; but that’s not God’s way!

Could it be that God is testing our loyalty and our perseverance, in order to determine whether or not He can even trust us?

I believe that the Bible is very clear on this point.

The fact is, we have been given more than most, here in America, especially when you consider the rest of the world; and the Bible also says, “To whom much is given, much is expected!”

Times in our country today are rough, and there’s no getting around that fact; and I dare say it will get even worse, before it gets better; but we who are Believers, who call ourselves after His name—”Christians,” we need to understand, as the Bible says, that every time the enemy comes in like a flood, and overwhelms so many, it is at those very times that the Lord always raises a standard up against him!

So if you and I want to be a part of God’s army, and resists the enemy’s efforts, then we have to get on board with God’s training program, and not quit, or be discouraged in the heat of battle!

These problems and travails that are hassling so many today, and wearing so many down, are not to destroy us; but the Bible says they are to make us strong.

So just as with the Navy Seal Training, God is about training his Covenant Children for spiritual warfare; and though the training often times is grueling and hard, the trade off will come after the training is complete, and we are put into service, with the accompanying power of the Holy Spirit, winning this lost world to Christ. The Obama presidency is in trouble on several fronts… and it’s about time!

As happened with the Titanic, this ship Obama is sinking and it’s sinking fast…

also as happened with the Titanic, its owners once boasted before the whole world that “Even God couldn’t sink this ship!” That was a BIG mistake and I can only hope that the ego of our country hasn’t risen to that level, where we also think that we are indestructible.

May God have mercy on us if we do.

The truth is there are several reasons why our nation is in trouble today; and until the American people, that sleeping giant called “We the People,” wake up to the facts and quit drinking the elixir Kool-Aid that’s offered up by this oligarchy establishment that has over the years used its immense power, wealth, and influence to corrupt many of our past presidents, Obama and former President Bush notwithstanding, and mind you this is true on both sides of the political aisles of Congress, at least where the leadership of both political parties are concerned, including both Democrats and Republicans; and also including our electronic media and press too, as well; not to mention a great many of our large mega corporations.

The point is this folks, unless We the People in America wake up soon and take back our government (as is happening right now, at this moment by the way); and unless we reinhabit our Constitutional Republic (as also is happening), then there isn’t any other hope for our future as a free people.

You can’t sustain a country, or anything else for that matter, for very long on a foundation of lies; and as it is, at least in the eyes of the rest of the world, finally, and also hopefully more and more this is becoming true also in the eyes of the American people, to where we are now starting to see this sham, called the UNITED STATES CORPORATION, for what it truly is; which is nothing more than an extension and arm of this very evil oligarchy, who virtually controls the purse strings of the world, and is both owned and controlled by the Rothschild’s International Banking Cartel, which has all been established for one reason, and that is in order to implement their “New World Order,” and also their one world monetary system, which is covered quite extensively in the Book of Revelation.

The world today is finally seeing the puppet leadership of our nation as naked and without clothes, however many of our politicians are still trying desperately to keep up the lies and appearances, if nothing else; but in the light of all that is happening and has happened in the last few years, with all the obviously dishonest and illegal activity in Washington DC, even the most naïve of our citizens are today beginning to see the truth!

This article below, in the Jerusalem Post, just points out but a few of the cracks in our foundation, as it relates to Obama’s current problems after November’s elections; but the truth of the matter is that what we see on the surface is only the tip of the iceberg, and those cracks go much deeper and much wider than most in the U.S., among our citizens, realize… and that has to change folks, if our nation and our liberty as a free people is to survive!

Where does the problem start?

Well it starts with the fact that this entire UNITED STATES CORPORATION is in fact both a lie and a fraud; one that has been perpetrated upon the American people now for over 139 years (ever since The Act of 1871 was passed); when our nation ceased to be a Constitutional Republic and was illegally changed by the forty-first U.S. Congress (without any constitutional authority to do so, and without approval of the American People, and also without their knowledge) into a corporation, and thereby setting our “organic” U.S. Constitution in moth balls; and it has been that way ever since!

Question: Just how far does this rabbit hole go?

Fundamentally Freund: How Obama can save his presidency

These are tough times for Barack Obama. Barely three weeks have passed since his party received a “shellacking,” as he put it, in the midterm elections, denying him unfettered control over Congress and putting his domestic agenda in doubt.

Obama’s approval ratings have been sinking faster than Paris Hilton’s acting career, and the president is even finding himself to be the object of mockery on late-night television.

As Jay Leno recently noted on The Tonight Show: “In an upcoming interview with Barbara Walters,Sarah Palin says she believes she can beat Obama in 2012. The way things are going right now, [her daughter] Bristol Palin could beat Obama in 2012.”

Naturally enough, the newly-weakened president has turned his attention overseas, seeking to squeeze out something – anything! – that might resemble a victory and burnish his image. But even that isn’t going all too well. Weakness invites antagonism, and America’s foes – and even many of its allies – have wasted little time “dissing” the leader of the free world.

Consider the following: At the recent G-20 summit in South Korea, Obama tried to get America’s European partners to press China to change its monetary policy. What should have been an easy sell quickly backfired when leaders such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel turned around and instead berated the president because of the slumping US dollar. Pundits and politicians alike labeled it an astonishing rebuke.

Then, while still in Seoul, Obama was rebuffed by the South Korean government, which refused to sign a much-anticipated free-trade agreement with the US, marking yet another humiliating turn of events.

Other ostensible American pals have also joined in the fun, feeling free to lecture Washington at will. Take, for example, Afghan President Hamid Karzai. Despite owing his job and personal safety to the 100,000 American troops in his country, he felt no compunction about confronting the president and denouncing US policy at the NATO summit in Lisbon last week.

The wily Karzai knows a thing or two about political maneuvering, and saw an easy opportunity to score some points back home at a hapless Obama’s expense.

Back in the Middle East, the Obama administration took it on the chin as well, when PA President Mahmoud Abbas rejected an American proposal to restart peace talks with Israel. Egypt, too, got into the act by slapping down the American administration. Cairo rebuffed pleas from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and even Obama himself to allow international monitors into the country to certify that the upcoming parliamentary balloting is free and fair.

Needless to say, this has not gone unnoticed by America’s enemies, who are having a field day at Obama’s expense.

Just last week, in a provocative and highly unusual move, North Korea allowed an American scientist to tour one of its top-secret nuclear facilities, taunting the US as it continues to expand its atomic weapons program with impunity. It was as if the North Korean regime was sending a message directly to Washington: You don’t scare us.

It seems no one on the international stage is really taking Obama all that seriously anymore. All the shine and glitter have worn off.

As tempting as it may be to rejoice in Obama’s difficulties – and it is quite inviting – this is no reason to celebrate.

If you believe, as I do, that America is a force for good in the world, a country that upholds the highest values of freedom, democracy and human rights, then any decline in American influence and power is hardly a welcome development.

If anything, it does not bode well for global stability, and opens the door to all kinds of mischief by the bad guys out there.

BUT IT is not too late for Washington to turn things around. There is one dramatic step that Obama can take that would have a transformative effect, not only on his standing in public opinion but on the world itself: Take aggressive action to stop Iran’s nuclear program.

The greatest threat to global peace and security today is the possibility of the ayatollahs going atomic. The thought of the would-be Hitler of Persia getting his hands on a nuclear weapon is one that should send shivers down the spine of every Israeli and every Westerner. It would be a game-changer in every sense of the term, upsetting the strategic balance in the Middle East and giving Iran the unprecedented ability to intimidate and coerce its neighbors.

Instead of investing so much energy and resources in trying to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian dispute, Obama would do himself and the world an enormous favor if he would turn his sights toward Teheran. Imposing punishing sanctions and using military force if necessary to stop the Iranian nuclear program would rally the American public behind his administration and underscore the fact that US deterrence is alive and well. In one fell swoop, Obama could restore America to its rightful place on the world stage, while striking an important blow against nuclear proliferation.

Sure, there would be a price to pay, as Muslims around the world would react with fury. But the fundamental truth of international affairs is that it is better to be respected than liked. And right now, America is neither.

Sounds like a pipe dream? Probably. The president has thus far pursued a policy of “engagement” with the Iranians, hoping to avoid a showdown. But this has produced little in the way of results.

So if Obama wants to save his presidency, his reputation and the Western world, his road to salvation may just lie in aiming the crosshairs at a belligerent Teheran.

Containing Iran, and bombing it if necessary, would have a dramatic impact not only on America’s strategic standing, but on his own place in history.

Instead of always complaining about what we don’t have, we need to learn as the Apostle Paul did, that in whatsoever state we find ourselves, whether with much or little, to therein be content.

Thanksgiving was a day set aside by the Pilgrim settlers whereby they offered thanksgiving unto God for His guidance to the new land, for His protection, and for His provision.

We would do well in America, with all our political, economic, and moral problems today, to also begin with thanksgiving, and our acknowledgement that we owe everything to God.

Our problems as a nation are spiritual; and they started the moment we forgot to honor God, and we became presumptuous in our thinking, and began to take credit ourselves for our many blessings, and we forgot to honor and give thanks to God.

My prayers and hope for America is that we can once again experience a Spiritual Awakening and Revival. for I feel that is our only hope; and I would encourage all believers to pray to that end.

May God bless America, is my prayer; and in that vein my prayer for ALL of you and for our beloved country this Thanksgiving, in this year 2010 (with 10 being the number of human responsibility) is that it will mark the beginning of a time of turning in our nation back to the God of the Bible; the God of our forefathers; and the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!

I’m praying for a spiritual renewal and restoration in our country; and for the hearts of the fathers and mothers to return to their children and to their families; that the fundamental building blocks of our country, which is true for of all nations, which are the family units within those nations, that the emphasis would once again be centered around the marriage vow, in the covenant between both husband and wife, before God… which promises to remain together in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, for better or worse, until death do you part… that these vows would be kept and honored once again!

My prayer is that men and women of faith would take back our country, and that we stop once and for all this silly idea that we can elect men and women to political office, who make our laws and set the course for our nation and future generations, and expect anything different from what we see today in Washington DC, among both Republicans and Democrats, from people who have yet to have an encounter with God, who though they may and some often do speak of Him (especially around election time), and some are even religious; but we can know from their fruit (or lack of same) that they have not committed their lives to Him and their hearts are far from Him.

My prayer for America is that we will once again elect godly men and women to office; and that men and women of faith within our country would take back our country, in Jesus name!

Let us all begin this new year by giving thanks, and by our honoring God…

Celebrating Thanksgiving in AmericaDavid

The tradition introduced by European Americans of Thanksgiving as a time to focus on God and His blessings dates back well over four centuries in America.

For example, such thanksgivings occurred in 1541 at Palo Duro Canyon, Texas with Coronado and 1,500 of his men:

1 in 1564 at St. Augustine, Florida with French Huguenot (Protestant) colonists;

2 in 1598 at El Paso, Texas with Juan de Oñate and his expedition;

3 in 1607 at Cape Henry, Virginia with the landing of the Jamestown settlers;

4 in 1619 at Berkeley Plantation, Virginia;

5 (and many other such celebrations). But it is primarily from the Pilgrim’s Thanksgiving celebration of 1621 that we derive the current tradition of Thanksgiving Day.

The Pilgrims set sail for America on September 6, 1620, and for two months braved the harsh elements of a storm-tossed sea.

Upon disembarking at Plymouth Rock, they held a prayer service and then hastily began building shelters; however, unprepared for such a harsh New England winter, nearly half of them died before spring.

6 Emerging from that grueling winter, the Pilgrims were surprised when an Indian named Samoset approached them and greeted them in their own language, explaining to them that he had learned English from fishermen and traders.

A week later, Samoset returned with a friend named Squanto, who lived with the Pilgrims and accepted their Christian faith. Squanto taught the Pilgrims much about how to live in the New World, and he and Samoset helped forge a long-lasting peace treaty between the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag Indians. Pilgrim Governor William Bradford described Squanto as “a special instrument sent of God for [our] good . . . and never left [us] till he died.”

7 That summer, the Pilgrims, still persevering in prayer and assisted by helpful Indians,

8 reaped a bountiful harvest.

9 As Pilgrim Edward Winslow (later to become the Governor) affirmed, “God be praised, we had a good increase of corn”; “by the goodness of God, we are far from want.”

10 The grateful Pilgrims therefore declared a three-day feast in December 1621 to thank God and to celebrate with their Indian friends

11 – America’s first Thanksgiving Festival. Ninety Wampanoag Indians joined the fifty Pilgrims for three days of feasting (which included shellfish, lobsters, turkey, corn bread, berries, deer, and other foods), of play (the young Pilgrim and Wampanoag men engaged in races, wrestling matches, and athletic events), and of prayer. This celebration and its accompanying activities were the origin of the holiday that Americans now celebrate each November.

However, while the Pilgrims enjoyed times of prosperity for which they thanked God, they also suffered extreme hardships.

In fact, in 1623 they experienced an extended and prolonged drought. Knowing that without a change in the weather there would be no harvest and the winter would be filled with death and starvation, Governor Bradford called the Pilgrims to a time of prayer and fasting to seek God’s direct intervention.

Significantly, shortly after that time of prayer – and to the great amazement of the Indian who witnessed the scene – clouds appeared in the sky and a gentle and steady rain began to fall. As Governor Bradford explained:

It came without either wind or thunder or any violence, and by degrees in abundance, as that ye earth was thoroughly wet and soaked therewith, which did so apparently revive and quicken ye decayed corn and other fruits as was wonderful to see, and made ye Indians astonished to behold; and afterwards the Lord sent them such seasonable showers, with interchange of fair warm weather as, through His blessing, caused a fruitful and liberal harvest, to their no small comfort and rejoicing.

12 The drought had been broken; the fall therefore produced an abundant harvest; there was cause for another thanksgiving. The Pilgrim practice of designating an official time of Thanksgiving spread into neighboring colonies and became an annual tradition.

13 And just as those neighboring colonies followed the Pilgrims’ example of calling for days of thanksgiving, so, too, did they adopt their practice of calling for a time of prayer and fasting. The New England Colonies therefore developed a practice of calling for a day of prayer and fasting in the spring, and a day of prayer and thanksgiving in the fall.

The Thanksgiving celebrations so common throughout New England did not begin to spread southward until the American Revolution, when Congress issued eight separate national Thanksgiving Proclamations. (Congress also issued seven separate proclamations for times of fasting and prayer, for a total of 15 official prayer proclamations during the American Revolution.

14) America’s first national Thanksgiving occurred in 1789 with the commencement of the federal government.

According to the Congressional Record for September 25 of that year, the first act after the Framers completed the framing of the Bill of Rights was that:

Mr. [Elias] Boudinot said he could not think of letting the session pass without offering an opportunity to all the citizens of the United States of joining with one voice in returning to Almighty God their sincere thanks for the many blessings He had poured down upon them. With this view, therefore, he would move the following resolution:

Resolved, That a joint committee of both Houses be directed to wait upon the President of the United States to request that he would recommend to the people of the United States a Day of Public Thanksgiving and Prayer. . . .

Mr. Roger Sherman justified the practice of thanksgiving on any single event not only as a laudable one in itself but also as warranted by a number of precedents in Holy Writ. . . . This example he thought worthy of a Christian imitation on the present occasion.

15 That congressional resolution was delivered to President George Washington, who heartily concurred with the request and issued the first federal Thanksgiving proclamation, declaring in part:

Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor. . . . Now, therefore, I do appoint Thursday, the 26th day of November 1789 . . . that we may all unite to render unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection.

16 That same year, the Protestant Episcopal Church (of which President Washington was a member) announced that the first Thursday in November would become its regular day for giving thanks, “unless another day be appointed by the civil authorities.”

17 Following President Washington’s initial proclamation, national Thanksgiving Proclamations occurred only sporadically (another by President Washington in 1795, one by John Adams in 1799, one by James Madison in 1814 and again in 1815, etc.);

18 most official Thanksgiving observances occurred at the state level. In fact, by 1815, the various state governments had issued at least 1,400 official prayer proclamations, almost half for times of thanksgiving and prayer and the other half for times of fasting and prayer.

19 Much of the credit for the adoption of Thanksgiving as an annual national holiday may be attributed to Mrs. Sarah Josepha Hale, the editor of Godey’s Lady’s Book, a popular lady’s books containing poetry, art work, and articles by America’s leading authors. For nearly three decades, she promoted the idea of a national Thanksgiving Day,

20 contacting president after president until Abraham Lincoln responded in 1863 by setting aside the last Thursday of that November. The Thanksgiving proclamation issued by Lincoln was remarkable not only for its strong religious content but also for its timing, for it was delivered in the midst of the darkest days of the Civil War, with the Union having lost battle after battle throughout the first three years of that conflict. Yet, despite those dark circumstances, Lincoln nevertheless called Americans to prayer with an air of positive optimism and genuine thankfulness, noting that:

The year that is drawing toward its close has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the Source from which they come, others have been added which are of so extraordinary a nature that they can not fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever-watchful providence of Almighty God. . . . No human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, Who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy.

21 That remarkable Thanksgiving Proclamation came at a pivotal point in Lincoln’s spiritual life. Three months earlier, the Battle of Gettysburg had occurred, resulting in the loss of some 60,000 American lives. It had been while Lincoln was walking among the thousands of graves there at Gettysburg that he first committed his life to Christ. As he later explained to a clergyman:

When I left Springfield [Illinois, to assume the Presidency], I asked the people to pray for me. I was not a Christian. When I buried my son, the severest trial of my life, I was not a Christian. But when I went to Gettysburg and saw the graves of thousands of our soldiers, I then and there consecrated myself to Christ.

22 The dramatic spiritual impact resulting from that experience was not only visible in Lincoln’s Thanksgiving Day proclamation (and also his 1864 call for a day of prayer and fasting) but especially in his 1865 Second Inaugural Address.

Over the seventy-five years following Lincoln’s Thanksgiving Proclamation, presidents faithfully followed Lincoln’s precedent, annually declaring a national Thanksgiving Day (but the date of the celebrations varied widely from proclamation to proclamation).

In 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt began celebrating Thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday of each November, and in 1941, Congress permanently established that day as the national Thanksgiving holiday.

23 As you celebrate Thanksgiving this year, remember to retain the original gratefulness to God that has always been the spirit of this – the oldest of all American holidays. (Below are representative examples of the scores of Thanksgiving proclamations penned by various Founding Fathers.)

By law the only important thing as per judicial mandate for every CORPORATION is to its bottom-line, even at the expense of its competitors and/or to the public good. The corporation is an amoral legal entity, and they have been granted the same rights as individuals to both own and control property; howbeit its only purpose and function is to make as much profit, whatever the cost; and their only loyalty is to its corporate stockholders!

With these facts in mind, please also understand that our UNITED STATES of AMERICA, as of the Act of 1871, with no legal constitutional authority to do so, our politicians in the forty-first Congress converted our Constitutional Republic into a Corporation.

I want to start by saying that whereas I don’t agree with everything that is said in the above documentary on Corporations; nevertheless as a free people I believe it is necessary and important for us ALL to give an ear to both sides of an issue, before we arrive at a conclusion.

Like the large international mega corporations, so are the international bankers, in that they are also amoral people, and their only interest is also to their own bottom-line; and when it comes to the political and often very heated rhetoric on both sides of various issues, to the extent these controversies serve to draw attention away from the “New World Order” agenda of the Globalist Bankers, these same international bankers do in fact underwrite and fund both sides of these various issues, in order to keep control over what is reported; as long as no mention is made of their involvement and ultimate control.

To divide and conquer is a strategy that has often been used by the enemy, Satan, and we can read about it in the Bible, and the reason it is used so much is because it is so effective.

If you can keep both sides of an issue fighting against each other, then the general public won’t be paying attention to whose pulling their strings, and so the puppet masters, and in this case they are the ones who control the purse strings, are free to continue as they please without public scrutiny nor interruption to their secret agenda, and that’s exactly what they want.

Partisan politics aside, as with most things when it comes to differences of opinions, the truth is typically found somewhere in between the extremes of both sides!

Moral issues should NOT be related to partisan politics; but rather it should be related to our conformaning to God’s laws… and what’s RIGHT is right; and what’s WRONG is wrong, and it is as simple as that!

For those of you who are Fox News fans, who think that Fox News is on your side, you need to listen to segment number 17 in the above Corporations documentary, on how Fox News was pressured to lie to the American public, and withhold certain information regarding certain additives to milk, in chemicals produced by Monsanto Corporation, that have been proven to be harmful to the public.

Jesus made it very clear (in Matthew 6:24) that a person cannot serve both God and Mammon (which in actuality is the name of a demon god); as Jesus said, “he or she will cling to the one and hate the other;” and yet the truth is that is the main motivation within our country today, among our politicians, our corporations, and even among a good many of our citizens.

That fact should be obvious, as the state of the economy today, to a great many people, is the prevailing topic of discussion, without regard to our moral depotury, and the dishonesty and lies that have virtually taken over in both politics and also in our market place.

As Christians, we should understand that God is watching us, and He won’t continue to underwrite and bless this country, if we continue down this path; which we also know in the Bible is taking this world to a “One World Government,” and monetary system, that will ultimately be controlled by someone which the Bible has called the “Antichrist!”

American needs to wake up and especially Christians need to wake up… quit drinking the Kool-aid that is offered up through the liberal media and that which we hear coming out of Washington DC, from our politicians; because if we don’t, our days as a free people will be numbered!

Watch and pray for our country and for revival; and also please sign up and support the ongoing efforts that are now underway for “We the People” to reinhabit our Constitutional Republic, and take back our government!
