Thought you might like this…

Hi Jeanette,

I hope you won’t mind, but I just wanted to share something with you that I think is just so very beautiful.

That’s what I liked most about being a DJ, I got to stay up all night just playing music.

I love music and I listen to it a lot.

I particularly like it when the lyrics and the melody come together so beautifully.

I was listening to this song that is being sung by Karen Carpenter, who has what I and others believe to be one of the most beautiful voices of all time!

I used to work at ABC, at their Prospect studio, in Hollywood, and Karen and her brother were guests on this TV show we were taping, and man she just had the most beautiful voice ever.

What a loss that she died of anorexia, at such a young age of 32.

Just listen to these lyrics:

A Song For You

I’ve been so many places in my life and time
Sung a lot of songs, made some bad rhymes

I’ve acted out my love on stages with ten thousand people watching

But we’re alone now
And I’m singing this song to you

But I know your image of me is what I hope to be

I treated you unkindly, but can’t you see?

No one more important to me
Darling, can’t you, please, see through me?

When we’re alone
And I’m singing this song to you

You taught me precious secrets, the truth withholding nothing

You came out in front and I was hiding

But now I’m so much better, if my words don’t come together

Listen to the melody, my love is in there hiding

I love you in a place where there’s no space and time

Love you for my life, darling, you’re a friend of mine

When my life is over
Remember when we were together, oh Lord

We were alone
Oh, so all alone

We were alone
And I was singing

Oh, I was singing
Sing this little song for you

Good music it’s just so spiritual, and it can take you to another place and time.

I hope you enjoyed listening to this song as much as I did!

I’m always trying to think of something that I can send you, that will put a smile on your face and cheer you up.

You are the best!
