Eagles are able to rise above the storm by leaning into the storm, using the adverse winds in order to gain the necessary lift to rise above it…
It is fear of the unknown that keeps us in bondage; and this fear is either caused by those things that we are afraid might happen tomorrow, or those remembrances of bad things that happened yesterday, that we keep reliving in our minds.
These are the things that keep us in bondage and block our forward progress.
This battle is fought in our mind, and so it must first be won in our mind before we can get our breakthrough.
Old habits need to be replaced with new habits, and this journey begins through our meditation in God’s Word.
We must first understand the inerrancy of God’s word, in that there is no prophecy of scripture that arose from any one individual’s interpretation of the truth; but that these holy men of old wrote as they were breathed upon by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21).
Hence the Bible did not come about by the will of man, but these men of God spoke because they were inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Well the same God breathed inspiration that inspired these 40 authors to pin God’s Word to page, is also available to us, as we read and meditate within those same pages.
John 16:13
Jesus speaking: “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into ALL truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”

It is only as we allow the Holy Spirit to illuminate the Word, making it become alive for us, that we are able to gain personal direction and wisdom for our lives.
Without that illumination of the Holy Spirit, the Bible is just ink on paper and is like every other book.
This reprogramming of our mind is the ONLY way that we are able to change the way we think (which is what repentance is); and it is through our meditation in God’s Word that we are acquainting ourselves with the character and nature of God, and in so doing we are learning to adapt our ways of thinking to God’s ways, and are therefore putting on the mind of Christ (Php 2:5).
By this reprogramming of our minds, this washing of our minds by the Word and the Spirit, and then by our leaning into our fears, in faith, this is the ONLY way that we are able to conquer our fears.
