Life comes from only one source,
the Creator, Jesus Christ, who said…
“I am come that you may have life, and have it more abundantly!“
What provides the fuel that feeds your life?
Jesus said we cannot serve two masters, both God and Mammon (mammon is this world system, but it also is the name of a demon god)… for Jesus said, “We will cling to the one and hate the other.”
Jesus said that He is the life; that He came that you could experience life more abundantly!
Jesus also said that man does not live by just bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God!
So I ask you again, what is the source and fuel that runs your life?
To answer that question, just ask yourself what do you live for?
We each have been given a free will, but the choices that we make with that free will have eternal consequences!
In the end we ALL are accountable and we all will one day have to give account to God for how we lived our life.
So yes we all have been given a free will, but that only means that we are free to choose who or what we will serve.
Let us remember the first and second commandments:
- I am the Lord your God… and you shall have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:1-3)
You shall not make unto yourself any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth, in order that you should bow down to them and worship and serve them; for thus says the Lord your God:
“I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; but showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.” (Exodus 20:4-6)
Now I ask again, what is the source that you derive fuel for your life?
You may say, “Well, I’m not religious; and I don’t go to church very often (if ever); but certainly I’m no better or worse than anyone else… and certainly I don’t hate God.”
Remember how Jesus said, “You cannot serve both God and Mammon, for you will cling to one and hate the other!”
Well that means exactly what it says… and if you would like to hear it another way, God is saying that either you are in God’s camp by choice, as an act of your free will and volition, to serve Him; or you are in the camp of Mammon (the world and its system) by default… and you are serving him. But you cannot have it both ways!
Let me put it another way, or rather let me tell you what Jesus had to say:
Take Up the Cross and Follow Him
23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily,[a] and follow Me. 24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.
25 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?
26 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels.”
Are you starting to get the picture? I’m not sure how much plainer it can be… and these are the words of Jesus himself!
Let me just say this, Jesus did not come to earth, and die a cruel death on the cross, just so that we could live as we choose, and attend church maybe sometimes, but nevertheless live our lives as we choose, in order to please ourselves!
As it says in Isaiah 53: “All we like dumb sheep have gone astray, each choosing his or her own way, and the Lord laid on Him (Christ Jesus our Lord) the inequity of us all!”
Folks I don’t know how it could be made any clearer, but this going your own way, and doing your own thing, as most of the world is doing… and in your doing what seems right in your own mind, but doesn’t match up with what God has written in His word… is taking you to straight to hell!
So that being said, if you would like to change the direction of your life, and plug into the true Source of Life… who is the one who created you and gave you your life to begin with… then just follow this road map: http://needhim.org/.
His name is Jesus Christ… and don’t you dare leave home without Him!
